Van-tastic!
Yes - we're finally sorted with our very own little van after lots of trials and tribulations, inluding buying a station wagon and finding out it was a lemon (even after we had a mechanical check) then having to sell it again - what a pain!! Now we've bought a funky little Nissan Vannett off Pam & Mike (Our Petsitting employers). It needed a little bit of work in order to make sure it'd last for the next 12 months, but now it's sorted and we just need to buy some camping gear and make it nice and cosy... just so it looks cool of course while we're staying in our nice, warm lodge!! No, really, we are planning to stay in it....
Our Petsitting job came to an end on Friday when Pam and Mike came back from their Apartment in Oz- which is available to rent by the way! They threw us & Jamie & Kyle (the Canadian couple we've been working with) a 'Thank you Woofers' BBQ on Sunday at their 'Bali Bar', which was really nice - good food, drink and conversation all whilst watching the sun go down... perfect!
Now we have a week staying in the cabin until we move up North to Ahipara and the Endless Summer Lodge, so we're going to make the most of it by seeing as much of Auckland and the surrounding areas as possible in our new wheels. There's a bungy jump set up off Auckland Harbour Bridge on Friday which looks interesting, we might go along and, well..... have a look!! You never know we might be a bit daring.....
Apart from that, all is well in NZ, Matt has a bit of a cold because it is pretty chilly here at the moment, although we are having a few good days and we've been told spring is just around the corner.

You can see more pics from the last couple of weeks here. We've also finally got a new camera sorted thanks to Matt's Mum and Al, so they should be better quality from now on...

Nice set of wheels mate, does the RR on the registration plate stand for Road Runner? Have fun! - Mart and Lyndsy.
So, if the reg plate on the van is "RR", does that make it Rocky Racoon?....
Nice to see you strummin' a few chords - you need a guitar then some kind of recorder so we can add the band to any new tunes!!!
Glad all's well so far - enjoy the bungee jump!!! Jackie & I just had a great weekend in the Lake District but it's back to work now - lots of wet behind the ears students.......
